They/Them

We deserve to live, not just survive.  That’s why our work centers on your identities and experiences, taking into account the systemic and historical barriers that prevent our wellbeing. If you are Latine, Black, Indigenous or other Person of Color with intersecting identities (such as queer, trans/non-binary, first-generation student, immigrant, survivor of domestic violence, low income and/or single parent), you shouldn’t have to strategically choose which part of you shows up to therapy. In our connection, I will invite you to be your authentic self and to allow all the parts of you to be celebrated by me, and eventually by you too.

Together, we will hold the tensions, longings, confusion, and joy of our complex selves as you move toward the changes and clarity you seek in your life. I will lovingly challenge you, while still holding onto the belief that you know you best. I honor your trust. I believe therapy is a means of collective healing, and that we are both part of this process.

I understand the struggle of trying to find a therapist who reflects your identities, especially in the Pacific Northwest. I hope working with someone who reflects your identities/experiences/culture can be one less barrier to you getting the care you need. Speaking on behalf of my Latine background, mental health remains a stigma in several BIPOC spaces. Many of us who are first generation are caught between our cultural ties vs. the assimilation that the U.S. prefers we give into. You are not crazy for seeking therapy. You are brave.

The identities and experiences I focus on are:

  • BIPOC

  • LGBTQIA+

  • First-generation students

  • Immigrant experiences

  • Latine and/or Spanish-speaking individuals

  • Polyamory and kink

  • Gifted and highly sensitive

  • Empowerment through life transiations

  • Survivors of domestic violence

  • Single parents, particularly mothers, and their children

All of my services are pay what you can from $0 to $100 per session.

Education: I am currently a MSW Clinical student and fellow for the Latine Traineeship at the University of Washington, with an expected graduation of June 2024. I currently focus on talk-based therapeutic services, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (e.g., the way you think influences how you feel and how you behave). However, I believe healing occurs beyond the mental, and includes the physical and spiritual. I use my yoga training to bring mindfulness, meditative, and peaceful practices into therapy that you can use anytime you need.

Background: My identities and upbringing reflect the communities I chose to engage with, and the belief that we empower one another. I spent the last year facilitating group and one-on-one discussions and healing spaces for QTBIPOC undergraduate and graduate college students.

Beyond Therapy: Outside of Whole Valley, you can catch me exercising, drawing in Nature, writing poetry, finding new music, dancing, and being in community with my loved ones <3.
