She/Her

The ways we relate to ourselves and others matter. In connection we are sometimes hurt and harmed. Relationship is also where we grow and heal. The relationship we build in therapy is real, meaningful, and has the power to catalyze your own change process. Together we can create a space for you to try out new identities, explore different ways of being, ask big questions, and deeply listen to your own thoughts and feelings. Our work together can be a soft place to land, and somewhere to find emotional safety as you explore and meet challenges in the world.

My approach is warm, relaxed, and explicitly nonjudgmental. I work with people who are sensitive and thoughtful, and who sometimes find those qualities make life feel extra hard. Many times they’ve had to shoulder their difficulties alone throughout childhood and into adulthood, and are learning how to do things differently now. Sometimes they’re starting to explore a new facet of their identity that feels scary or uncertain to step into. Other times they’re struggling to reconcile their differences with pressures from dominant culture. Regardless, they are longing for a different kind of connection with themselves, the people in their lives, or the world around them.

I have additional training, experience, and interest in working with these areas and communities:

  • LGBTQIA+ adults

  • Therapy for therapists

  • Disability and chronic illness

  • Grief and loss

  • Artists and creatives

  • Identity exploration and formation

  • Childhood trauma and chronic invalidation

Education: I received a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington in 2021. I completed my undergraduate degree at New York University in 2007, where I majored in Metropolitan Studies and minored in Gender and Sexuality Studies. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work Associate.

Background: My therapeutic work has focused mostly on serving LGBTQIA+ adults, people who have experienced relational trauma, and folks who hold other marginalized identities. Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years working as a grant writer in New York City nonprofits.

Beyond Therapy: Outside of work, I delight in every dog I see, visit the library as often as possible, and love to swim in Lake Washington. I’m interested in herbalism and foraging, so I feel lucky to live in the Pacific Northwest with our abundant stinging nettles in the spring and blackberries in late summer. I prioritize friendship in my life and love having deep conversations over tea.
